At Abarca, we embed creativity into our culture and spaces because health is also human and alive. The Oasis Art Program commissions and exhibits Puerto Rican art across our Santurce urban campus—turning everyday corridors into an ongoing dialogue between health, art, and identity.
Why it exists — the three Cs
Creativity invites us to challenge perspectives and reimagine what’s possible. Community anchors collaboration with Puerto Rican artists to build lasting connections among Abarcans, partners, and our neighborhood. Care recognizes art’s role in well-being—exposure to art reduces stress and elevates satisfaction and a sense of belonging.
Where it lives
Oasis Santurce is conceived as a living art ecosystem. Each floor carries a distinct energy; large-scale murals and installations guide wayfinding, spark conversation, and humanize the workplace. Curated by Adrián Martínez from Contrabando, artists featured across the campus include:

The collection is curated for a working building—art meets circulation routes, collaboration zones, and focus spaces, with form serving function. It’s evolving by design, with rotations, new commissions, and artist talks that keep the conversation fresh. And it’s open to the community: panels, tours, and mixers connect the island’s art ecosystem with Puerto Rico’s business community and other high-impact organizations.
How we measure impact (and why it matters to Abarca)
As part of the Abarcan Experience, we track outcomes that matter to people and to our community: talent engagement, sense of belonging, and campus satisfaction, along with the bridges we build with high-impact organizations through different collaborations. We also observe the external visibility and opportunities that participating artists gain. Together, these indicators show how the Oasis Art Program enhances our culture, strengthens community ties, and ultimately furthers our purpose—making healthcare more seamless and personalized for everyone by fostering environments where people feel connected, inspired, and cared for.
For Abarca, the takeaway is practical and human: muralism is identity, resilience, and civic dialogue made visible; Santurce proves how art regenerates streets and supports small business; and creativity is part of how we care for teams, clients, and community.
