SAN JUAN, PR — Jason Borschow, President and CEO of Abarca, has qualified as an Endeavor Outlier, an exclusive global group of high-impact entrepreneurs from the prestigious Endeavor, a global network with the mission of unlocking the transformational power of entrepreneurship by selecting, supporting and investing in the world’s top founders and providing them a platform to pay it forward.
“We like to say that Endeavor is all about impact, and we know from a study we conducted with Bain that the Outliers are not only the strongest performers, but they are also the largest contributors to their local entrepreneurial ecosystems. These select few who build and scale lasting businesses, create the most jobs, pay-it-forward the most by mentoring and investing in the next generation, and inspire countless others to follow in their footsteps. They disproportionately drive the lasting economic and cultural impact of entrepreneurship in their communities.” reflected Endeavor, Co-founder and CEO Linda Rottenberg.
Outliers is a year-long program that brings together the top 100 companies from Endeavor’s global community of over 2000 entrepreneurs, for specialized training and coaching to help scale their businesses, grow as leaders, and increase their impact. This year’s Outliers include dozens of companies that have grown more than 100% year-over-year. Many of the companies are already valued at $1 billion+.
“Although Abarca has grown rapidly over the past few years, in many ways we’re just getting started,” continued Borschow. “While our company’s success is the result of the talent, creativity, and hard work of many people, the network and resources provided by Endeavor has been instrumental in our getting to where we are today.”
Jason was selected to join Endeavor in 2019, becoming the first Puerto Rican Entrepreneur to join this global network.
“Being an Endeavor Entrepreneur has been extremely rewarding,” concluded Borschow. “This year’s class of Outliers is made up of innovative, forward-thinking leaders, and I am looking forward to continuing this journey with them.”
For more than twenty years, Endeavor has been investing in local economic growth by identifying, mentoring, and advancing entrepreneurs who demonstrate the ability, and the passion, to take their organizations to the next level. To date, companies led by Endeavor Entrepreneurs have created more than 4 million jobs, generated over $28 billion in revenue and in 2020, raised over $4 billion in equity capital, contributing to immeasurable advancement in their communities.
