Adriana Ramírez: Leading with Expertise and Purpose
With over a decade of PBM experience through various leadership roles across Abarca, including EVP of PBM Operations, Chief Legal & Compliance Officer, and VP of Client Success, Adriana brings exceptional leadership to Abarca’s operations.
Adriana’s academic foundation—a BS in Health Systems Management from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico Law School—underscores her commitment to excellence. Based in Puerto Rico, she remains actively involved in non-profit organizations, including Invest Puerto Rico, reinforcing her passion for fostering economic growth.
As President and COO, Adriana will continue leading Abarca’s Product & Service Delivery Division. This division focuses on ensuring Abarca continues to deliver seamless, personalized healthcare solutions at scale through our PBM operations, product management, government programs and services, client success, performance management, and legal and compliance teams.
Javier González: Driving Growth through Partnership and Innovation
With nearly three decades of proven success in PBM, managing everything from operations to clinical strategy, and from business development to analytics, Javier brings unmatched expertise in the managed care landscape. His extensive leadership experience in driving revenue growth, developing innovative clinical strategies, partnering with clients to manage drug trend, and delivering measurable business outcomes positions him as a strong force for Abarca’s next phase of expansion.
Known for his results-driven leadership style, Javier fosters a culture of connection, collaboration, and empowerment. His ability to inspire high-performance teams and drive innovation in the PBM business model will be pivotal as Abarca reshapes the PBM space.
As President of PBM & Commercial Strategy, Javier will lead Abarca’s clinical strategy, business development, drug value strategy, network strategy, and analytics teams to strengthen commercial partnerships, deepen Abarca’s clinical and PBM value proposition, and drive sustainable business growth, aligning with Abarca’s PBM Unstoppable vision.
